Hobbies
Do you know what it is like to see the world through the prism of biology? Every molecular mechanism has its analogy in our daily life. Have you ever imagined that doors are similar to ion-gated channels in the cell? Or that corridors look like blood vessels with people acting as cholesterol molecules? From the previous statement it can be seen, that my interest lies in biology. My father is also involved with science, and our dinner table discussions are usually about cutting-edge research. I became interested in biology in high school, and participated in local Olympiads. After public high school, I entered the Medical University in Astana, where I planned to become a doctor, as it was in my blood - my parents and grandparents are doctors. However, 22 days later I received an invitation letter to Nazarbayev University, which is the first English speaking university with international faculty in Kazakhstan. Here my scientific journey began!
