I completed a degree in Classical Studies with a minor in Geography from Brock University in Canada in 1983. I also have a honors, Bachelor of Arts degree, with a minor in Geography from McMaster University in Canada in 1991.
Experience
I am a professional Archaeologist (APA) licensed by the Province of Ontario. I have experience in research, education, and archaeological resource management. My experience in adult education is extensive. I have experience with teacher workshops on First Nations History and Prehistory. I have also worked as an instructor in an advanced Archaeological Field School Program for credit and vocational purposes. I have previously worked as a writer and editor for peer-reviewed reports, papers, and articles. In addition to this, I was also a tutor and teaching assistant in Anthropology and Archaeology at Laurier University. I have formerly been a guest lecturer at the University of Guelph for courses in History and Art History. While doing education consulting I conducted classroom visits and carried out supplementary teaching programs for middle school and high school. Finally, I have also worked as a museum educator and heritage interpreter for the Hamilton Conservation Authority.
