I have published a short essay regarding campaign expenditures and its effects on democracy, during my final year of high school. Since then, I can say this with confidence, that my writing has improved greatly along with my ability to analyze other writings. Along with the many political science courses that I am taking at McMaster University, I am also attending (and have attended several) English Classes. The many essays that I have written have only improved my understanding of the English language, and enhanced my communication skills, and I hope to have the same impact and influence on adolescents. I want to be able to help students write professionally and to help them understand the English language extensively. The ability to write effectively will allow them to present their ideas and experiences to the world in a successful manner. Improvement in communication skills for ESL students is essential for future job securities and for social connections as well. I will also be able to help them write essays for social science subjects as I have the full knowledge of composing these types of papers.
