I Graduated from Bishop Ryan Catholic Secondary School with a cumulative average of 95%. I earned an Honours Bachelor of Science (Molecular Biology & Genetics) at McMaster University. Also, I graduated with a cumulative A average (3.8 GPA) and completed an extensive self-directed undergraduate thesis project, earning a mark of A+ in the process. I began attending the University of Sherbrooke in September 2015 to pursue a Master's/PhD in Plant Biology.
Experience
I have over three years of lab technician/research experience. I am well-versed in scientific communication, often with under-year students. I have run several study groups with peers and classmates. I scored high marks in Biology (Undergraduate Microbiology, Genetics, Molecular Biology, Ecology, Evolution, etc.) and Chemistry (Organic Chemistry I and II, Grades 11 and 12). I organized and oversaw two "Let's Talk Science" events in which Grade 11 and 12 students were invited to McMaster to perform biology experiments. I also counseled students regarding career options and strategies for academic success. I was - voted the Valedictorian of Bishop Ryan Catholic Secondary School, Class of 2010. I also judged several elementary- and secondary-school science fairs on a volunteer basis.
