Tutored in high school. Assisted in learning of inner city children within the community. I hold a B+ average in University, receiving my highest marks in classes requiring 20+ page papers. I want to be a tutor because I believe my own personal style of learning has taught me to overcome distractions, especially with the new technology of cell phones, laptops, and being able to access a distraction absolutely anywhere. I study mostly in the field of Criminology, which is an interdisciplinary program that adapts from sociology, psychology, anthropology, etc. I do not believe there is any value or merit to testing. Anyone can memorize information and regurgitate it back onto a paper the following day. However, I have been taught many methods in order to become a studious member of my student body.
